Helicopter Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Popular Southern California Beach
A helicopter soaring near a popular southern California coastline abruptly commenced twirling wildly, eventually dropping height and crashing into a line of palm trees as spectators looked on.
Footage shared online depict the aircraft beginning to twirl near Huntington Beach then plunging in the direction of the border of the coast, where it ends up lodged between palm trees and a set of stairs adjacent to the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Details
The Huntington Beach fire department said five individuals were transported to a medical facility comprising two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” following the incident on the weekend.
Three individuals on the pavement were injured. Details on their wounds were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not immediately released.
